Hello loves!!
I'm gonna share with you how I managed to lose 19kg in just 6 months.
Can you believe that my weight was around 43kg-45kg before I got married??
Once married I gained 10kg..gahhh! T__T
Then I got pregnant with my 1st child and I gained TWENTY SEVEN KILOS!!! My weight was 80kg exactly before I undergone C-section giving birth to Batrisyia Shihan..After giving birth, I got scared to step on the weighing machine to weigh myself and till now I still don't know what my weight was..hehe..sorry guys.. I got so embarrassed by my weight, I didn't even want to take pictures when I was pregnant..so, this is the ONLY picture I have..gahahaha!

Due to limited activities caused by the major operation, I didn't get the chance to have a proper confinement period where the Malays traditionally use bengkung (corset/girdle), drink jamu and bertungku..but I did get a nice massage though..hihi..
I love exercising but I stopped once I got married and got lazy to start it again..gahaha!
I regret sooooo much for not starting my exercise before..(tu la, bila dah takleh exercise baru nak gedik2 exercise kan?)
After 2 years being a housewife, I started working..and I REALLY REALLY NEED to lose weight..I took slimming pills for a few months..I did lose weight to 55kg BUT I didn't feel healthy tho..I always got headache and my period pain got worst..I stopped taking pills and got pregnant again with my second child..THIS TIME I GOT PARANOID AND GOT SCARED OF PREGNANCY!! Because the last time I was pregnant, pregnancy was not a nice thing to me..hehe..I suffered a lot! So,
I said to myself that I can't let it happen again this time..I was soooo determined to find something that could help me stay healthy and not gaining so much weight while being pregnant..
Before I quit my job,I googled so many things for the sake of losing weight..
Then 1 day, I saw my dear friend Erin attached a link to a beauty post in her FB..I was surprised seeing this lady's entries..I didn't know she's been active in blogging..If only I had known she posted an entry about weight loss plan, I wouldn't have to take the pills..haihhh..
I've known her since I became friends with Erin..I didn't know her that well tho..I think I met her once..Sorry, I don't remember...hehe..She's tall and pretty like Barbie! But,by reading her entries, I feel close to her as if I had known her for so long..she's been very good to her followers..
I was browsing through her blog then I saw her post about
'How I Lost 18 Kilos in 8 Months' by
Tia Hakim ... I was like "oooooo the title excites me!" I began to read and I got excited just only by reading the first couple of paragraph...hehe..jangan marah Tiaaaa..I read her weight loss entry EVERYDAY! just to get the PEMBAKAR SEMANGAT mood..gahahaha!
Kalau you all rajin, baca la her full entry for the tips and tricks and also elaboration on how to count your daily calorie intake..coz what I'm gonna write here is only the summary of what Tia wrote and what I did for my weight loss plan..
So I started my journey of getting a healthy life while pregnant after reading Tia's blog..I tend to get high blood pressure and a suspect of diabetes when pregnant...Grrrrr! That sucks!!
I have to control what I eat and drink..
Since I was pregnant that time, I couldn't control much on meals I eat BUT I started to apply the 'Get rid of water retention' method..I drank 4 litres of water a day..makan2 jangan citer la...aku balun je sumer yang bleh makan..BUT I did not drink any sweet drinks..I only drank warm water.. AND IT WORKED WONDERS! I did not gain weight drastically.. I only gained about 18 kilos...still gained baby fat yet still okay compared to my first pregnancy.. I did not suffer from swollen feet at all like I had with my first pregnancy..My sugar level reading was only 9.3 and came down to 7...unlike my first pregnancy, the reading was 11.2!! So, my pregnancy this time was way easier for me.
Then again, C-section another round but this time the incisions were wayyyyyy too much painful compared to the first one..then I said "I just have to wait till 6 months to start a light exercise"...After giving birth, I did not stop drinking the 4 litres of water a day..Orang tua kata dalam pantang jangan minum air banyak2 sebab takut kembang...TRUST ME, taaaaaakde maknanye...kalau tak minum air, mana nak datang susu badan?? Doktor pun cakap, pundi kencing dengan rahim is two different things...takde kena-mengena..kalau tak minum air, cane nak sihat?that's also the reason why some people tend to get constipation during confinement period(sebab tak cukup air and always minum milo,kopi, etc..)..haaaaa,so up to u lah which one nak ikut..because my main reason that time was to increase my milk supply and to keep me hydrated.Period!
From 73kg, I lost 10kg in just 2 weeks! but while I was in my confinement period, I still haven't started controlling what I ate because my body still needs all the nutrients to recover from C-Section..After 44 days of confinement period, I started to plan my diet meals..BUT I was still in my 100 days of confinement period of not eating seafood and sayur-sayur yang sejuk.. I did not take any jamu-jamu..hehe
The fact that I'm still breastfeeding Malaeka Shihan,gives me a booster on losing the fat...haha!
I pretty much did the same thing as what Tia did..I made her blog as my daily reference..I even did a checklist for my meal plan..Ha, sampai buat checklist kao! Memang ikut betul2 la sebijik-sebijot ape yang Tia buat..haha..then after a while, I started following
+Kevin Zahri 's Instagram and Twitter for more tips..
So, these are the things I did and still doing it till now..
DON'T FORGET TO COUNT YOUR DAILY CALORIE INTAKE BEFORE YOU START,OKAY?
1) Drink 3 litres (at least) of water a day..kalau rajin minum 4 litres..
Soalan I selalu dapat - "Tak kembung ke??" ...well my answer is TIDAK..TIDAK MENGEMBUNGKAN...you have to remember, by drinking plenty of water a day, you'll be going to the bathroom to shee-shee every 10 minutes..perut tak sempat kembung, badan dah membuang..so,jangan risau lah!
2) DO NOT SKIP MEALS..skipping meals tend to mess up your metabolism..when you're metabolism's messed up, you can't lose weight the right way..
My diet plan:
Breakfast - Please try to NOT skipping this
- Consists of 2 slices of toasted bread and scrambled egg using ONLY the egg whites
- A glass of warm water
- A glass of Lemon Mint Detox drink (homemade)
- A cup of Hai-O Mineral Coffee
- 1 Litre of water to curb hunger (try to finish it before lunch)
Snack in between meals (you can skip this if you're still full)
- Crackers/Fruit/Yoghurt
Lunch
- Nasi segenggam (please jangan salahkan nasi anda gemuk..dia tak salah..TAPI,cukup hanya segenggam nasi bukan beras ye..untuk sekali makan..dan kalau makan nasi sihat pun hanya segenggam je okayyy??)
- Lauk la of course...try and look for something healthy like soups, vegetables or something grilled instead of it's cooked with santan or goreng2 yah? Banyakkan protein and greens please!
Snack in between meals
-Salad/Fruit/Nuts/Cheese/Crackers
-1 Litre of water also to curb hunger (try to finish it before dinner)
Dinner
- Nasi segenggam (I just had to take another round of nasi because of the milk production)
- Chicken soup
-1 Litre of water (try to finish it before bedtime)
TADAAA!! Kan dah cukup 3 Litres of water a day tuh kan?? hehe
You can try and google for more healthy meals and calorie counts per dish so that you could control your daily caloric intakes..be creative with your meals..hari-hari makan benda sama pun bosan jugak kan?
Kadang-kadang curi2 jugak makan McDonalds, Chocolate, Sundae ice-cream la bagai..haha!
Tapi as long as you monitor your caloric intake untuk sehari, then it's all good..not to worry too much okay?
At first I thought How do I survive without eating nasi??? But then again, you don't have to starve yourself just to lose weight!
I am proud of myself for getting through this on my own (well, with the help of moral support from Mr. Hubby of course!)
I also did a very light activities at home such as chores, carrying Malaeka slowly up and down the stairs, light exercises for abs to name a few...Bukanlah takde activity langsung asek membongkang je kat rumah and expect you'll lose weight..NO NO NO..jangan ada mindset macam tu please Malaysian?

Now, I weigh 1kg lighter than my pre-pregnancy's weight which made me 54kg! (Ada orang kata "elehhh..sekilo je punnn)...TAPI a kilo lighter counts! Biar slow progression rather than not having any progression at all!
I have another 9kg to lose! My target is 45kg...Jom?? ada sape2 nak join? You can always text me 010-3806661 anytime anywhere! I akan cuba sedaya-upaya menjawab soalan anda and I sedia memberikan pertolongan..hehe.. Gonna post my update when I've reached my goal!
